Douglas Vann has created, owned and operated Vann Landscapes Ltd for over 20 years. Douglas was also born and raised in Bethesda Maryland.
Douglas’ landscape design philosophy is one of year round garden interest, practicality, safety and low maintenance. Douglas studied at the University of Maryland’s Institute of Applied Agriculture as well as George Washington University’s Landscape Design certification program.
Vann Landscapes is a small and therefore very detail oriented company with many charter clients still contracting with them. The lead foreman has been on staff since 1990 and most of the other employees have been on board for more than 10 years.
Our favorite type of project is the landscape face lift where we remove the often wrong and overgrown plant material; replacing it with the correct and proper shrubs, trees and flowers to obtain high curb appeal. Photos of a residential face lift can be found on our Portfolio page.
